On Being Unrushed
I am passionate about offering 2-hour sessions because this work asks for time.
In many spaces I’ve worked, that kind of pacing wasn’t possible, and I’ve seen how much it matters to be unhurried with each client, in every session.
Somatic work involves the whole body and unfolds gradually. Touch is most effective when it’s slow, attentive, and responsive. Two hours together, with ninety minutes of hands-on time, creates space for a more complete, adaptable experience, allowing us to follow what arises rather than rush past it.
This supports your body, nervous system, and mind more fully, often leading to deeper and longer-lasting effects.
The session is unhurried from start to end. We check in, connect on what’s brought you in, what you’re noticing in your body and life, and where you’d like to focus. During the hands-on portion, there is space for your system to settle, shift, and rest.
Afterward, we take time to reconnect, answer questions, offer guidance for movement or aftercare, and support the integration of what your body has experienced.
At the heart of this work is a respect for your natural pace, giving your body and nervous system the time they need to truly receive the experience and integrate the benefits.
